Hi,

Although I have a pretty powerfull machine (2.2 gig, 512 megs/RAM, 40 gigs SATA HD 7200 RPM), it takes a loooooooong time to load a savegame. About 8-10 minutes every time.

And saving a game is, more or less, about 1-2 minutes (that's why I've disabled the autosave feature).

My HD is often optimized with Norton SpeedDisk. So, I really don't understand why it takes so long, when my friend, who have a less powerfull PC, have a 2-3 minutes loading time...

any idea?

thanks a lot

Hvae you tried deleting your old save games? And how much spare HD space do you have? Maybe its too full?

512 MB with a badly optimised operating system will cause excessive load times for save games. Either install more RAM, or tweak Windows to get the most out of your existing RAM.

For starters though, keep in mind that a lot of systems these days come with integrated graphics. Which means they share the video buffer with main memory. When such a video system uses 64 MB, your main system is automatically reduced to a mere 468 MB.

What patch are you using?
