I've just added HAN, OLD and MEC back into the 1776 scenario because I didn't like the fact that Britain owned Hannover's provinces (and, for some reason, Oldenburg and Mecklemburg as well).

Anyway, I removed the provinces from 1776_GBR's owned and controlled provinces, and the actual provinces themselves at the bottom of the list of owned provinces (with pop levels, forts, etc.)

I've added them to the new states, double checked the tags, added them to both the 1776.inc file and the scenario file itself (which wouldn't case a crash anyway as it's only choosing which you can select to play as AFAIK)... and yet for some reason I'm now getting random crashes due to USA controlling a province owned by GBR (Montréal, which is historical) - but the game is telling me no one owns that province. I've checked three times now: Montréal is owned by GBR and controlled by USA.

It worked before the new changes to the German provinces, so I don't see why I would be getting this problem... :(

Anyway after this errror I get about half a dozen similar ones, then errors about CoTs and if I 'ignore' them all it just gives me a CTD.

I've added new states before, so what have I missed?

Modding questions in the modding forum. :D

As far as the question, have you double-checked all the ownership and control entries in each of the scenario files? It sounds like there might be a duplicated entry or a missing bracket somewhere. I'd go to those German/UK files that you updated.

Thanks. ;)

Wasn't sure if it was modding or a bug, but I can't see the bug forum. :eek:o

I've uploaded it here for you, if you'd be so kind as to take a look. I'm really stumped on this one, so it's probably something simple that I am overlooking.

I can't see a single error in the GBR, HAN, MEC or OLD files for 1776...

Link.

You're a hero to millions, Garbon. ;)

I don't suppose you know which monarch that is, do you?

I would never have noticed that 1776_gbr.inc error - I must have deleted it my accident when I was copying it to rename it to HAN. :eek:o

Found it. I meant a different error, sorry.

Thanks for your help!
