I have the steam version on the game and since two day i cannot save any game in the local files or the cloud because it appears the following mensaje
Error writing save game
Failed to save game for unknown reason
Are you using forbidden characters in the file name?
Do you have enough free space?
I also cannot load any game after the relese of holy fury

Do you have 32bit Windows? If so that is the cause of this message, it does not let the game have enough memory to run properly.

If you are not sure what you have, DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Hi thanks for responding. yesterday i was trying to solve my problem and i discover that when i put the game in de 2.8 version the problem disapears .
Could the problem be something to do with an error whit the files of the new version?
And i think that my computer has 32 bit but that have not give me a problem before with saving games in ck2 or stellaris

The later game versions need more memory. I would expect the formal minimum requirements to be updated soon. FYI Stellaris already have 4gb as the minimum.

You have two issues: 32bit Windows and only 2gb installed at all.

You'll need to go to 4gb of installed system memory, and to 64bit Windows to make use of that 4gb.

Until then, by all means stay on 2.8
