EU2 v1.06 doesn't accept original CD

I own the Ubisoft English version of EU2. Installation of patch 1.05 has never been a problem.

I installed the 1.06 patch tonight, and now the game refuses to start :(

I get a little dialog box about the CD not found, and an abort and retry option. Retry just produces the same result over and over again.

Choosing abort crashes with an illegal instruction trap.

Yep. Known issue and a fix will be forthcoming ASAP. Keep an eye on the sticky since I'll post the fix there as soon as I know about it.
