Is there anyway to get rid of excommunication trait? My son inherited my realm but was a heretic and immediatly got excommunicated. I got my piety back up to 300 but still excommunicated.

Also with the newest beta patch am I not allowed to grab Emir and King titles from the Muslims?

Yes, there is an event that can remove your excommunication.

You were never able to grab titles from Muslims, that hasn't changed at all.

Not "Grab Title" as in the diplomatic option...but in war, I could've swore i was able to take Emir or Duchy titles from defeated muslims. Not a big deal though i can always vassalize and revoke. :D

As you get an automatic claim on any non-christian province you control, you can force that claim in any peace deal. But I think you cannot force claims on muslim specific non-creatable titles.

Well, I don't believe you get claims on Muslim-specific non-creatable titles (like "King of Zirid") when you defeat the holder in a war. However, it is possible to get these claims through event in the same way you get other claims. I've had a game in which I event-claimed King of Pruthenians, and when I went to war and defeated them I was able to force my claim to that regnal title.

I believe you are right :) ... was what I meant, but failed to explain well
