With all the delays and the long, long waiting, perhaps
we´ll be expecting too much of this game, I mean, surely
CK will be a great game, but lots of us are really crazy,
and wish a truly SUPERB game...
There is the risk of a little disappointment, IMHO, and I
sincerely hope to be wrong! ;)

Looks like you have already set yourself to brace for the disappointment - so if it comes you won't be too shocked.

* me worries about the same thing*:D

I too am very scared. No screenshots, no much info, just some bits here and there....frankly, it's not a sure thing. The game looks interesting, but only its producers can say this, because they are the only ones who saw this game.

Too much delay...

Sorry I was trying to be sarcastic. There is no point in worrying. So they are taking there time with the UI. Usually I would say that would be cause for optimism that they are not rushing to market with a game that is not ready.

No one here has played Shadowbane before have they? 5 years in developement, looked like the funnest game in the world, but when it FINALLY came out it was packed full of bugs and not ready for release. Sort of Ironic, but Shadowbane was a MMORPG and this can be patched easier. Well my point is that time doesnt mean squat.

I know I will love this game. It will not be perfect. But then I do not work at Paradox :D
Chill and give it a chance. The game be here to ruin your life soon enough.

I'm not worried at all... I'm confident CK will be a great game...:D

Keep the faith, Knights!!

No, they're not. Betatesting hasn't started yet.
Not here, no, but IIRC there are some Russian beta testers recruited from Snowball's site - or is that "Alpha" testers? ;) :D

WHAT ??!!

It won't be a truly SUBER game  . :D

They're already late. I play CM4 too often, and i don't think i'd have any time left to play CK....:(

Good luck to Paradox though

CK will be a great game, you can be sure

I can´t wait to have it in my hands... or better in my hard disk! :D

Chaps, what happened to the old good way of making game for as long as it takes to make a proper one, then releasing it into the world...? Yes, pre-sells and fund-raising are both a part of the business, but this is what we have to worry about, not you, all right :). I like Kar-Wai, the Asian director (you may have seen his In The Mood For Love, or Chunking Express, or Fallen Angels), and when I read that his latest movie is "not ready yet" and will miss Cannes, I was full of joy in fact -- this meaning that it won't be cut too quickly to make it in time for the festival, but rather that he'll have whatever time he needs. Is it any different with games? :)

The only difference is your consumer base Sergei. Im sure you know from floating around the boards that those who purchase and play Paradox games are devout, demanding, and often irrational about the game content. Sure we all want a clean release but I think this is anticipation bubbling over the pot cover into some frustration.

For me your return to the boards and participating in the conversations is enough to quell my urge to press for more but I can understand that expectations are high. This is a good thing, bottom line is when CK does launch you have a lot of people who are just going to buy it without review, research or patches because if the build up here in this forum.

Take all the time you need Sergei, just remember you have people here that want to buy your game now. So until your finished there is going to be anxiety, once its released then it will get even worse because we will be picking it apart function by function. This anxiety isnt a reflection of you or your development In my view, I think it just biols down to we want this game and dont want to wait, and if we do have to wait dont want to be dissapointed.

The time it takes for it to get completed translates into higher expectations upon release.

You've taken so long releasing the game that the "Good Old Days" have passed and are now "Ancient History".:D

Then mayby I should wait for the wheel to make one full circle, when the good old days will reappear once again? :)

PS Working on new version of Negotiations and Character Screens. Too much information, too hard to grasp, am affraid this will scare the non-hardcore ppl. Done a draft that is better but not really as good as I would like it to be, will be doing another one over the weekend.

PPS Character portraits.

I don't think that would work at all. If you wait for the wheel to make one full circle, won't we just be back to where we are now? Then we would really have some angry people here! Perhaps you should wait for the wheel to make 1/2 of a turn instead. Or 3/4 at most.
