Playing 1.03 as Sweden. I can't add people to my lvl 3 steel factory, but I have room for them, and there are unemployed pops in the state, both craftsmen and clerks. The "Add" button is lit up, but when I click it nothing happens. I thought it might have had something to do with me having several small pops of clerks, like 100 in each. I turned them into laborers, but I still could not add my bigger pops to the factory. What am I doing wrong? Is this a bug?

Have you looked at the factory's detail view and scrolled through the list of employed POPs to see exactly which POPs are working there? It could be that you have farmers or laborers in there, due to some devolving clerks. IIRC, this will cause the Add button to remain lit while the staffing indicator will only count the number of craftsmen and clerks.

Yeah, check whether or not you have labor or farmer in that factory, failing that, check in all factories..

If you're playing in MP, pause, remove all workers from that factory, then add. MP adds more problems to adding worker to factory. My friend, who always host, never had that problem, rest of us had to deal with factory adding bug, nto to mention research same tech over and over, wasting resources on building the same railroad..all due to lag.

Sometimes the computer will add two large craftsmen POPs instead of a clerk/craftsmen pair which can be a pain if you have auto assign on. Solution is to pause the game and add them one at a time to each factory in the state.

Okay i have a factory bug . :D

I got a friend hooked on vicky and tonight we tried a MP game 1.03. He was the USA i was the Ottomans. Now in some of my factories i had more craftsmen/clerks then were allowed. I had like 6/5 and 7/5 in some of my factories.

I checked and they were all craftsmen or clerks...seemed very odd...but not bad
