Family Tree - Bug or Feature

I started the game as Count Sigfus of Vestiland and have a son as Heir (no wife). Going into the family tree this is shown correctly. However I then marry (Princess of Norway - Normal Marriage) but going into the family tree she is not shown. Buttons appear on wife but no image my son is still shown.
When we have a child then the family tree shows her and our son, but I cannot see my heir!. Finding my heir and looking at his family tree shows me has the parent.

I would assume that I should be able to toggle between my wife and no-wife to see him on my family tree. Is this because he is a bastard?

This is is easily recreated.

p.s. still waiting for second icon and can still only have the duke avatars. edit: oops. just seen on this post.

Did you perhaps accidently get into a matrileneal marriage with the princess of Norway ?

It was a regular marriage. Tool-tip over ring confirmed this. Though as another test did have a matrilineal marriage and had same outcome.
So is this a bug? Also heir doesn't have bastard as a trait?

I was not able to marry the Princess of Norway, so I tried to marry the Princess of Navarra (maybe you misread?) but the same error, as you are describing, occurred.
