Very belated congratulations to @RobbieAB , a being of exquisite taste and rare sophistication. People should aspire to such a state and emulate his behaviours, not just in his readership habits but mostly those.

Sterling work on containing TBC's ego by keeping to the award limits, I shudder to think what things would be like if he was encouraged further. That said I do of course look forward to congratulating him on his inevitable next win when he is eligible.

An on time congratulations to @The Number 9 , a fine choice for a familiar name.

Finally while many would say @Rensslaer should prioritise catching up on Butterfly Effect, and to be clear these people are entirely correct, keeping these awards going is not a bad second-best choice. My appreciation to Renss for that.

@The Number 9 you are correct. I've corrected the record. 3/30/17, 8/20/18, 8/2/20

I was away from the forum for a while myself and some of the record keeping may not have been kept up 100%.

Rensslaer

Thanks a lot, but really it was not a problem. Don't worry.

I think it's time to pass along the award. And first, I want to thanks again everybody for all the gentle reaction. I'm not sure I really deserved the award this time as I'm not as active as I used to be, but it's pleasant nonetheless.

I'm sorry, I didn't take time to show you some AARs I've been following. I'll do it quickly here :

From the CK2 area (which quite active lately) : Aggressive Integration - A Kentland AAR (476 AD start) by @iain_a_wilson
Vox Francorum by @Ernain1111
The Carolingian Restoration: A Crusader Kings II AAR by @Rickefariel

In the CK3 forum : A Candle in the Storm - An Islamic Sicily AAR by @jackelgull

For EU4 : History of Romanland by @KaiserWilhelmI
Raiders not traders by @mackwolfe

In IR: Rome : Another World To Conquer- A Bactria to India to China AAR by @Quintus Aquilla

I tried to focus on relatively new AARs and the list is far from exhaustive, and of course there's always @coz1's Wars of the Roses or The Thorn of Roses by @stnylan which I think are well known but I really important for me (that's the two that have motivated my comeback this year).

And now, it's really the time to choose our new "Fan of the week", and for that I will pass it to someone who is not a 1st timer but he is really worthy of it (and, if I am not mistaken, he has not receive it for nearly a year). If you don't already, you can also check his first AAR Habemus Papam, but writing it has not stopped him to offer some great comments in a lot of AAR as he has constantly done for some years now.

So it is my pleasure to pass it to you, many congratulations @Historywhiz !! :)

Some fine recommendations there, thanks for that @The Number 9 , also an excellent nomination.

Congratulations indeed @Historywhiz , always a welcome name to see commenting on an AAR.

I was about to correct you and say that it has only been a few months since I last received this award and there are many other deserving candidates. Then I looked up my username on a thread search and found out the last time I won was in October. Tempus Fugit! as my grandmother used to say.

Thank you for the kindness and the nomination.

Loosing track of time like that is a sign of growing wisdom and maturity.

Aka getting old.

Congratulations on the win.

Alright, obviously it’s not official until the end of the week, but I already know the next winner is going to be @Midnite Duke. This is because that lunatic gave me roughly 25 notifications in eight hours from all the posts he’s liked, and I’m as susceptible to flattery as anyone else.

I had to open the “Show all” notifications tab just to see what anyone else had responded!
