Hey,

We've spent some time lately in improving the accounts pages, which felt outdated and a bit unstructured. Going forward, it will (should!) be easier managing your account and preferences.

There is a lot more to come going forward, we hope to be adding new types of account linking as well as guidance on how to improve your player experience with us.

The new Accounts web will be made available in parallel to the old one, feel free to try it out here and let us know what you think in this thread (yes you use the same account credentials as before)

/Freddy

From my initial clicking around this new accounts panel, I'm glad to see a lack of over the top usage of animations for everything. Now if only we can get the animations disabled here on the forum or a user toggle to disable them...

I like how it looks, how oyu can open to see the DLCs and all... it's a vast improvement over what we currently have.

However, not sure i understand how the game pages are organised:

Why is there occasionally a date, sometimes not?
Sometimes a product key, sometimes not?
Why are there lines with just Steam?

And now, if the owned items page be update to properly give the actual number of badges and add the missing icons....

Thank you for your feedback!

The games library is a tricky one since we handle data from several sources, and from some sources we simply do not get anything beside that a player owns a game. No dates, no keys. In those cases the the line will only show the platform of the game, ie Steam. There are also many many different way to get ownership of something. You could buy a Paradox version of a game, you can buy a Paradox version + a steam key, you can be given a game, redeem a code etc etc. We have tried to be smart and filter out duplicates but, to be honest, as developers we need to walk the line between trying to figure out all edge cases, or do something good enough and iterate when new info becomes known, so the data can look off from time to time. In any case, this site is work in progress and user feedback is very valuable, so again, thank you.

Pleasure. :)

I'm beta tester and computerised system engineer... i tend to go directly for the edge cases... :p

We are working on a improvement to at least remove some of the unnecessary duplicates. Sadly not much can be done about the ones where we simply do not have any data, but the idea will be that at least you will only see one of those per product.

Really appreciate it. :)

May i hope that this won't have an impact on our badges... or, if anything, allow to resolve the fact we are missing number of them? or is this effort completely unrelated to the OwnedItems page on the forum?

This has nothing to do with forum badges. Different systems and all that. But can I ask for an example of a missing badge?

I have a summary in the #290 post in the Medals and Icons thread. But Heirs of Alexander for Imperator, Leviathan and Origins for EUIV,... are also missing.
