Flicker and beep

CKII is a fabulous game and I have been playing it happily since it came out. However, my game suddenly exhibits rather bizarre behavior. The screen will flicker every few seconds, and my CPU emits a beep at the same time. This behavior had never occurred until today. It also does not occur immediately on start-up or loading, but about five minutes or so after that point. Moreover, if I minimize the game and then pull it back up, it stops the behavior for another few minutes before it starts back again.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and I have no after-market edits to the program (not computer savvy enough!)

Any help would be appreciated!

Not a known problem, it has to be an issue with your machine. Check for updated video driver, and Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU) 1/ before starting the game up and 2/ after say 20 minutes' play. If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, Google for and install SPEEDFAN.
