For windows xp V4

I have Windows XP and well DO NOT INSTALL "Windows Update V4" in the automatic update!!!! Dont install it or Eu2 will load up to the scenario selection screen and then after you press start the game will always crash during game loading.

How do I know? (I installed the update then Eu2 stopped working, i then unistalled the update and Eu2 worked again)

To remove it go to add remove programs and uninstall

For some reason its not all under just "Windows update V4" but all of these show up in the list to remove. Its probably just one of them but just incase i uninstalled all of them.

Did you try renaming the AVI dir to something else?

This is a known problem where XP v4 does not like Binkplayer on some systems. Simply rename you AVI folder to AVI_back and you should be fine.

There may also be a special fix from MS that addresses the problem, however you will not get that file on an auto update.
