Suggestion: Strengthening the muscles in the tentacles to make them useful for locomotion on land. This adaptation will allow the tentacles to serve as movement for the Hunter as well as a self-defense mechanism.

Suggestion: Developing a nose. If we want to be able to take in as much oxygen as possible while on land, we will need a nose. Absorption from the atmosphere will not be enough.

Suggestion: develop a respiratory system that can allow us to breathe both outside and inside of water, we will become a rudimentary Amphibian.

+1

This will be a very important part of our adaption, especially if we need to make a quick escape in the water. I would assume that the Hunter would stay close to the water in order to facilitate for any quick escapes.

EDIT: Added the nose suggestion.

Also, IGN gave this game a 7.8/10 for, partially, having "Too much water." IGN spoke too soon because now all there is left of the sea is a lake.

How about developing some better "eye" protection? By this I mean like microfilm or some sort over the "eye" that can protect it.

Strong nudge towards land. Alright.

Suggestion: Tougher outer membrane/rudimentary skin. This will prevent dessication.

Suggestion: Rudimentary Digestive tract. As far as I'm aware, our jet will soon lose much of its usefulness. Why not use it as a pouch for our stomach?

Together these innovations should allow the Hunter to sweep the shore for whatever carrion might've washed up. The first species to start doing so will have a smorgasbord of free food to itself. Let's hope that's us! Hopefully we'll be able to make slightly longer sojourns and recolonize the ocean. While we're confined to a single lake we are extremely vulnerable.

Wow. That went from a relatively harmless blob to quite the threatening predator pretty quickly there, didn't it?

Perhaps instead of lucking at the ground for our salvation, we should take to the air...

1. Modify our Jet propulsion to allow us to leap from the water and into the air.

2. Create an outer shroud similar to that on a vampire squid, to act as a parachute on our descent.

Suggestion: increased number of photosynthesizing cells.

Have a more efficient digestive processes to account for the lack of food.

Increase the power of our gas propulsion

Land is dumb! We shall rule the sea!

+1 to both

I'm with Plank. Land, schmand. We will rule the waves!

suggestion: Larger photosynthesis cells and can live longer just using it - seeing as all the large prey is dying out and it might take time to move to the surface we should work on gettibg a reliable temporary method of collecting energy

Suggestion: The ability to twist the whole body while one specific section is stuck in place. This should allow us to burrow into land.

Suggestion: Much harder spines and spikes, so that we can burrow through even tougher rock.

Bake the earth and fry the sky; the ocean's where I'll live and die.

Suggestion: Parasitic cells. Replace the male cell reproduction with parasite cells that can be sprayed and spread to other animals and plants, so that they may sap energy from their host.

Suggestion: Toxic fumes. Just as with parasitic cells, the Hunter can now spray toxic fumes from above so that it can kill its enemies from far away.

Burn the land and boil the sea,
You can't take the sky from me

Do we have any organs besides a digestive tract, probably a heart, and a "brain"?

Well since we're going towards land then how about better immune system cells?

Don't let yourself be trapped into a bubble! We can burrow our way to the open ocean!
