Treaty of Seville
Article I
Felipe IV of Spain, on behalf of the entire Hapsburg Dynasty, formally renounces all claims to the Kingdom of Portugal and the Algarves, and the assorted territories therein, from now unto perpetuity.
The Kingdom of Portugal and the Algarves formally cedes control of Tangiers to the Kingdom of Spain.
The Kingdom of Portugal and the Algarves agrees to not expand outside of the rightful and lawful Brazilian borders without the consent of the Kingdom of Spain.
Article II
The Kingdoms of Spain and Portugal and the Algarves agree to a non-aggression pact lasting no less than thirty years.
The Kingdom of Spain and the Portugal and the Algarves agree to form a defensive alliance lasting no less than ten years.
The Kingdoms of Spain and Portugal and the Algarves agree to reduce tariffs on Portuguese and Spanish merchants, respectively.
The Kingdoms of Spain and Portugal and the Algarves agree to allow merchants from each other’s respective nations to make use of Portuguese and Spanish ports freely for a period of no less than five years.
