Ultimatum to CeylonThe Portuguese Kingdom, the rightful overlord and protector of the Island of Ceylon, does hereby re-establish its control over the island and reasserts its rightful monopoly over the production and sale of cinnamon.
His Most Devout Majesty demands that the Portuguese be granted unlimited control over the coastal regions of Ceylon, and that the native leaders inland accede to Portuguese sovereignty over the entirety of the island.
In return, His Most Devout Majesty offers his protection, his support in expanding and building new ports, government and administrative structures, as well as general infrastructure, and will guarantee the rights of the native nobility by granting them the status of Portuguese citizens.
However, should His Most Devout Majesty’s most reasonable requests are not met, the Portuguese Fleet shall initiate a full blockade on the island, and the Army and Marines may be dispatched at further notice to further protect Portuguese territory and interests.

I wonder what motivates people to resurrect months-old (sometimes years-old) threads just to ask if they're dead?
