They don't even see the name of the server I am making. Hotjoin doesn't work either.

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
There are simply too many MP games for the server list to show sometimes. We are looking into how we can improve things. For now the best advice is to exit the game, right click your friend in Steam and select to join friends game that way.

If you have a Nova or higher pre-order try disabling the "Creatures of the Void" DLC. Others may get a 'version mismatch' error if you have it, but others dont
