Game always starts with wrong resolution

Everytime I start the game, it opens all blurry and "shifted" (so I need to click slightly above to select something). Only solution to this is to minimale the game and click on it again. I have tried to reset the options menu, change resolution and window mode to fullscreen

After screenshoting, it appears that game starts in 2560x1600, and after that it switches to my set resolution of 4k

Has this always happened ever since you've had the game? or it was okay up to some point?


DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

I have this problem since patch 3.4.4
Error logs is empty

I don't actually see a cause for this in those files, all looks fine. You may as well update that nVidia driver to August 2022 though https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

If that doesn't help, does it happen in borderless mode also?

I already had the newest drivers but the borderless mode seems to run fine. Thank you for your time.
