get to "loading graphics" and game CTD's .
Had a look at the error.log and it was blank but did see the following in the graphics.log :

[provincetemplate.cpp:251]: Province 0 has invalid origin
[eu3graphicalmap.cpp:1802]: Invalid port location for province 1, center at 136,215, port location at 126.000, 277.000

Verified game cache with steam and it came up 100% integrity.

That looks fine. Can we see your settings.txt and errors.log, also open up your setup.log and search for "checksum" post that line only from that file here pls.

[ck_application.cpp:770]: Checksum is CK2 v1.02b (JBOO) -1906867465
View attachment settings.txt

cant upload .log files for some reason lol. anyways error log goes like this.

[graphicssettings.cpp:73]: Resolution height to low. Setting it to 768.
[graphicssettings.cpp:253]: Resolution width to low. Setting it to 1024.
[graphicssettings.cpp:258]: Resolution height to low. Setting it to 768.

Sorry, change their filenames from .log to .txt, you can upload then. Sadly that settings.txt abd checksum look fine too.

Just wondering is
"[provincetemplate.cpp:251]: Province 0 has invalid origin
[eu3graphicalmap.cpp:1802]: Invalid port location for province 1, center at 136,215, port location at 126.000, 277.000"

is this supposed to be in the graphics.log or is it supposed to be empty? (Im assuming thats an error log of some sort).

I have that in my graphics.log too and my game works fine.

crashes at the same place.

It goes like this: loading graphics, creating (borders), creating (terrain), creating (textures), Loading graphics..... *CTD*

i thought id copy pasta some useless win7 error message it came with.

Yup i have done number 6. Still no luck. As of yet i am yet to even reach the main menu :(

Yes I am running HDMI to a TV. I dont have an old monitor lying around so I guess Im going to have to wait til a patch addresses this.

See if you can borrow a proper PC monitor, just as a test - you don't want to wait for a patch only to find out the problem was elsewhere, or the patch doesn't address that particular problem.

*tears of joy*

Okay im living proof that the HMDI/TV theory is true. Went to my neighbours house and borrowed his monitor.

Game actually works now.

Problem is the monitor isnt mine

*tears of sadness*

Thanks for all the help. And well done this case is solved :)

Can I get a heads up on something?

The new patch addresses something like "Fixes problem when playing on large TVs" is that supposed to address the HDMI issue because it still crashes at the same spot.

If you guys are still working on a HDMI fix then Im happy to wait. I had to buy an old monitor to play the game and what a great game it is.
Its a shame that out of 60 odd steam games this is the first time ive experienced this.
