Game crashing constantly

Basically the game keeps crashing every 10-20 minutes of game play.
I've done a clean reinstall were I've deleted everything except a couple save games that I wanna continue to play.

Don't really know why it's doing it, sometimes it goes 5 minutes then crashing then the odd chance I can play it for like 30 minutes.
I've reinstalled a few times verifying the game constantly, deleted all the mods.
When it crashes it just closes instantly without anything coming up.

I have read through other threads and noticed there is a problem with avast which i use, so have put them down as an exclusion but still getting crashes without any errors just the game shuts down.

Avast is not known to cause the game to crash while running, its problem prevents the game from even starting at all. If it runs your problem is likely elsewhere.

Has this always happened ever since you've had the game? Or only since what change or update?

Does it happen when no mods are in use at all?

Does it also affect EU4 and HOI4?

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK2/settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/CK2/logs/ folder, attach system.log .

I've had some problems with the game one other time where I've even got a thread open around page 3-4.
I've yet to try this on another save as I'm hoping I can get this save to work so I will try now.
I dont play EU4 but I'll give HOI4 a go.

No significant errors or problems in there, but I'd recommend these settings:

refreshRate=60
fullScreen=yes

If that stops the game from loading though, go back to fullScreen=no

I've played a couple of other saves with no problem I'm gonna say that the save file is corrupt.
Can mark this as solved.
