Game crashing while loading a save.

My game refuses to load my savegame. Whenever i try to load the autosaves, they work BEFORE i reach a certain date (1550 i think). Any save game i have after that year makes the game crash to desktop :wacko:

I have the 1.09 patch and the only thing i altered in the game was the ownership of some provinces (because some areas where just ridiculous). I made sure that everything was in the correct place and i'm sure that is not the problem.


Any suggestions?

I have another savegame from a completelly diferent scenario (started in 1600 isntead of the grand campaign) and it works perfectly, the only one that makes me crash is that dammed scenario, which is also my favourite :(
 
You edit a save, it crashes ... not sure what you're expecting from us here. Maybe some kind soul will offer to check out your save file and see if they can fix it, aside from that, well, I hope you kept a pre-edit copy!
 
The most likely cause of failure if you edited provinces is that you changed the ownedprovinces and controlledprovinces, but forgot to move the city definitions (or possibly the opposite). Do you get an error when it crashes?
 
The thing is, i did it before and it always worked well, and yes, i made double sure that all the changed provinces where in the right place. I don't know, even when i was a begginer at editing the file, even when i did something wrong the game worked perfectly, but now that ,at least i think, did it all right it starts to crash.



What's strange is that it only happens AFTER 1550. My 1549 save? works perfectly, and i can keep playing 'till the end game without a single flaw. But as soon as my savegame reaches the 1550 mark, saving the game will ALWAYS equal crash to desktop.


I guess i did some royal fuck up where that date marks the end of the world :rofl:
