That's great! Thanks Nabil and Brock...I knew you'd have the right fix.

One fix I noticed when this exact thing happened to me was this:

I had installed the game AND installed the patch before first running it.

What fixed it was uninstalling completely. Installing v1.0. Run it. Install patch. Runs OK from then on!

This can varry dramatically from system to system though...serving to keep us on our toes all the time.
