I've been having an issue for a few months now where Stellaris will just crash seemingly at random while running the game (crashes don't seem to occur while the game is paused).

There's no common thread between the moments it crashes, and I've had some issues with a few other games crashing as well but others not, and this issue occurs regardless of if mods are in use or not. I've tried basically every solution I could find for potential errors and nothing has worked.

Attached all the files from the most recent crash log.

Disabling mods does not remove effects they have already had on the saved game file. Do you ever get this in a galaxy that's never had any mods used in it?

You mention crashes in other games too - are these Paradox games, or unrelated, or both?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Yeah the crash still happens even if the galaxy never had mods enabled for it.

They're unrelated games.

As requested here's the DxDiag file.

We see crashes in the MS anti-malware module, and in notepad, as well as this game. No other game gets a mention though.

I think you have a Windows problem, OR a malware problem!

Try this Windows repar tool:

And do deep scans with 2 or 3 anti-malware apps,; Malwarebytes and Spybot are two good free ones.

Good luck!

I'd tried the Windows Repair Tool stuff previously to no luck, tried it again here and this time it did indicate it fixed something but sadly no such luck in fixing the crash issue.

If the AV scans don't find anything either, I don't know what else to suggest other than a clean Windows reinstall ...
