Okay let's try some standard things.
1) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
2) Set the color depth to 16BIT
3) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
4) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-3.

Thanks for the speedy response. :) I tried the steps and have the same problem, although now it seems to get a little farther and briefly says "initializing globals" and then shuts down.
I assume color depth is the same thing as color quality, that is what my computer calls it.

What changed between when it was working and when it was not?
Did you install anything?
Did you change any settings?

Please run a DirectX Diagnostic:
Start menu - Run - then type Dxdiag, then select each tab across the top of the window, and run the tests on each tab. Then select "Save All Information" button in the lower right of the window. This will bring up a dialog box to allow you to select a name for the file where the information will be saved. You can save it right on the desktop as this will make it easy to find. Then copy the contents of that file from the start to the heading that says "DirectX components" then paste what you have copied into a post in this thread.

This is a lot of info but here it is:

What changed between when it was working and when it was not? Nothing that I know of, it worked and then on the same day it didn't.
Did you install anything? The only thing was "Quicktime" about 3 days before this, but it worked after that.
Did you change any settings? No.

Do you have auto update on for windows or any other program?

Update your video driver it is out of date.

Thanks again Castellon!

Yes for Windows, and virus protection, nothing else as far as I know. I am not very computer literate, if that is not already evident. ;)

I assume this refers to the NVidia GeForce 2 card?
I tried with the update wizard and it said that "The wizard could not find a better match for your hardware than the software you currently have installed."
After your first post I did try updating the drivers and this card was the only one that took an update.

Go to the Nvidia site and get it yourself, unless you did it after the report you posted, because that one says you are using a driver that is a year and a half old, when new drivers often come out once a month, that is antique.

You should also try uninstalling the quicktime completely, it is not that big of a deal to reinstall it, if it does not prove to be the problem, You most likely have it doing auto updates as well.

I went to the site and updated it. I also deleted quicktime as well, but unfortuneatly I am getting the same error. Do you recommend reloading the game? Is there anyway to save my old game if I do this? Thanks.

You could try renaming the Music folder to Music_bak
IF that doe snot work yes a reinstall is fine to keep your saves copy them from the save games folder to a folder to a temp folder on your desktop, make sure you copy or move the file there and don't just create a shortcut to them.

Try it both ways.
