Hello!

Gardeners, currently, do not clean areas marked as Yard.

Edit: Not just Yards, but any Room area (for example Garbage, Delivery, etc) that is outside.

Edit 2: As of The Pen-Update, this bug is still present. Gardeners do not clean outdoor areas (especially zoned areas).
I attached my recent autosave (since, when you check Cloud Save, no file is saved locally apparently).

Edit 3: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...-gardiner-prioritization-not-working.1531221/ Apparently still not fixed. Haven't played myself. Is it possibly related to older save games?

Edit 4 : Try and see the Job Queue. Usually tasks are created for Zoned areas (such as Yard, Delivery, etc) until the Job Queue for Gardeners is full (you can see them as white(ned) tiles on the game map); after which no new gardening tasks are created, even for unzoned areas, which leads to Gardeners being in a kind of deadlock. No cleaning zoned areas, not getting new tasks for unzoned areas.
This means tasks for Room areas outside are ignored and eventually clog up the task limit.

The bastards do nothing! all they do is hanging out in the storage compartement while the freakin prison gets reclaimed by nature. Is that an anology to the devs and their bugfixing behavior?

Yeah, it seems so. I had a good laugh on your comment. If only it wouldn't be true, but sadly it is. At least they marked the bug as "known issues" in the Steam patch notes.

So I - and many others - still hope it gets fixed with the next update(s) Till then, I won't buy any DLC or play the game anymore.

I have the same issue. Gardeners used to passionately clear everything on the whole map, now the only thing I can see them clearing is concrete tile outdoor paths... they don't seem to touch the grass, sand etc, they don't touch the yard, no matter if it's assigned as a priority area or not.

This bug is opend since march and still not fixed. Oh hell, Paradox what did you to this formerly juwel. I never had so many bugs in this game, not even in the early acces phase. Fix the game and stop this useless DLCs.

Do they now clean all zoned areas, export, import, garbage, etc? Nice to see they clean the yard.
It's NOT fixed! Don't know what the user above did with this image or if it worked on his end. BUT the thing is, you can assign maximum 3 gardeners to one area. I tried it with 1,2,3. They did nothing there, but ran around in the countryside and did nothing. Once a day, the maybe did some cleaning for a minute, but that's it. NOTHING has changed on my end with the latest update.

I tried it with an old save game, though I don't think that's the reason it doesn't work. I mean, should work with old saves also. But maybe that's an issue??? Anyone got some information on this?

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...-gardiner-prioritization-not-working.1531221/ Apparently still not fixed (also the prioritisation skipping from 1 to 3 even though that has been explicitly fixed in the patch notes).

I have a feeling that is related to old saves, though, because I've read multiple times that it works in current-update saves.

I made a new prison last night, fresh new save and all. I am missing Gangs and perfect storm DLC's, I have everything else: it does not work.

I wonder if it might be because of game settings. I wish we could get the information from others, i.e. what if something like staff needs is breaking their behavior?

Sorry for the double post, but I made yet another new prison today for test purposes, and gardeners just stopped cleaning, period. This is with staff needs off.

I know literally nothing about code, but I wonder if there is an error in the code with priority, or how they recognize weeds. Because at the beginning, they prioritize road and grass anywhere on the map over anything else, and if you remove all the grass except for enclosed areas, this happens.

This has been an issue since, at least, March 2021.

@Fifnaril Could you check on this, please?

Edit: @AndrewT & @Enigmaticrose4

I mention you because I believe this post to be the best description of the bug.
