Hello as the title says I'm getting literally 1 FPS not joking in the main menu and in game. It only started happening two days~ ago as I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600x to Ryzen 7 5800x3D along with 16 to 32GB of ram. I have asked in the official Stellaris discord server as well as a ticket to support. For help before coming here so these are the things I've tried.

  • 1. Turned off Steam overlay and Game theatre mode in steam properties.
  • 2. Reinstalled the game and verified my steam files
  • 3. Deleted and unsubbed from all my mods.
  • 4. Tired playing in Fullscreen, Fullscreen Borderless and windowed along with switching between them.
  • 5. Turned off AMD SMT in my BIOS to see if that affected anything. (It didn't).
  • 6. Went into NVIDIA Control Panel and manually set a few settings for the Stellaris Application.
  • 7. Deleted all my Stellaris folders from documents and from my steam library game folder.
Please note that I have almost 300 hours into the game and this is the first time I've had any performance related problems, same thing is happening with HOI4 as well. Any suggestions I could try will be extremely helpful! Also something to take note of is that its using only 1% of my GPU in the main menu and in game not sure if its related. Also that its only Stellaris and HOI4 having issues every other game I have runs perfectly and flawlessly. I hate the latest Nvdia drivers for my 2080ti and did a clean installation of them.

EDIT:

NEVER MIND I RAN THE GAME AS ADMINISTRATOR ONE TIME AND FIXED IT

Leaving thread up just in case anyone ever has the same problem.
