I used the Hamachi system to try and set up a LAN like game but when my friend tried to join it nothing happened. He kept trying to join but nothing happened. We are both in my network and our windows firewall was disabled. We also tried the internet option with the Hamachi ip at the top. And if anyone can help that would be great. Or if someone knows how to get Valkyrienet to work. I tried that before and it says no ip address found when we try and join our games.

the same thing is happening to me too....me and a friend tried valkerinet and that doesnt work.....we both got hamachi and joined the same network and it doesnt work for lan or internet using the ip at the top.....we also noticed that we are both yellow...how can we solve this

So you have your friend connected to your Hamachi network and it shows his ID in the Hamachi application window? Does his show that he's connected to the network you guys set up too? Precisely -- what is green?

possibilities ....

A buddy and I use Hamachi with no problems.

Make sure you both have the same version of Hamachi.

One of you should set up a network and the other should join.

We drop our firewalls as well, though that may not be necessary.

Make sure you have the same versions of HOI2.

One in HOI2, it's multiplayer, LAN, create/join, etc. ....

Can you chat in Hamachi?

We go a step further and use Skype on top of Hamachi to voice chat during the game. It is quite fun.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,
Mike
