Help: created countries disappear after 1 year

Hey guys.

I created a bunch of new Germanic tribes and kingdoms like Lombards, Saxons, etc. Everything works perfectly, but exactly after one year (January 1) all of my created countries completely vanish. Their flags and soldiers remain but they no longer exist as political entities.

Wtf? Please help.

Well in order to help we need to know:

What version of the game are you using? Regular EU:R? Vae Victus? Do you have the latest patch installed?

After that, it would also be very helpful if you include the files you modded here so that someone can look them over and perhaps find out why your nations are vanishing.

Assuming you gave them "barbarian" provinces, did you remember to give those provinces some population, rather then just changing ownership?
