Hi all,

I would need some technical help, if possible. My knowledge about computers and LANs/Internet configuration is very low, so please explain any solutions as if I were a two years old child ))

I have at home two computers connected with a HUD. The HUD is connected to the ADSL modem.

My brother has at his home two computers connected with an ADSL router-modem.

The problem is when we try to connect and play EU2. We don't find each other.

Any solution, please?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Answer

Thank you for your answer. I have read the link. Actually the game runs perfectly on our computers, it is just that they do not connect through internet, probably due to the generic public IP of the ADSL (I have no idea about this, but somebody has told me that...)

I have the spanish version, patched to 1.05

Operating system Windows 2000

Thanks in advance

Some additional information

We have tried to play through vnet also, with no success.

First problem: Our two computers connected by the LAN arrive to vnet with the same IP.

Second problem: We can see each other at vnet (my brother from his house and myself). When one of us create a game, and the other one tries to join, a message appears saying something like "there is no such host" or "couldn't connect to that game" (free translation from Spanish)

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

you shouldn't have the same IP...

if one of you creates a game, can somebody else join the game?

did you try to play MP directly through the network, without going to Vnet?

on each computer, if you go to "Network Connections", right-click and select status, where it is written "client IP Adress", do you get the same number for both computers? If yes, you have a network configuration problem, if no, we'll try something else...
