The problem is the Russian version has security checks to make sure it is only being played in Russia.

Such as you have to have the Russian version of windows installed.

This is because the Russian version is sold so cheap and is intended for the Russian market only.

So it is not supported outside of Russia.

Atleasst HOI was that way.

Well I am pretty sure you are pirating the game if you use that version outside of Russia.

Regarding the buying it from the internet, On demend version.
1) You can Download it as many times as you like so if your connection cuts off, then you just start downloading it again. And if for some reason you cannot download it, you would get a refund.

Thing is you are still a pirate. If you buy a pirate copy from someone (usually a a cheaper price as a result) then you are still a pirate.
