High CPU usage peaks in multiplayer

Description​

Since the new patch, the usage on my CPU peaks very high, sometimes at 100%. In singleplayer this only occurs about once every month in in-game time and is hard to even notice. In multiplayer however, the usage peaks MUCH more frequently (every couple of days), as shown in my attached screenshot. This becomes worse as the game progresses, and after about 50-100 years of gametime, it results in endless desyncs, making the savegame unplayable. I am playing on steam and my friend on the gamepass, if this has any relevance.

I agree with this. Dev needs to focus more on cpu optimization.
