Quick question: with all the mods enabled (save for Anglicized titles), is there a reason I'm not seeing an anti-king faction when my liege, the HRE, has an anti-pope? There was no anti-king faction already formed, nor was it an option to be formed, so I'm a bit at a loss.
I didn't carry it over to PB initially as I didn't have time to look into what it actually does.
I'll have a look at it today.
I'm sorry, but I'm uncertain whether the bug causing the game to crash any time you click on the 'mercenaries' tab is a known offender, has it been caused by something on my end, and is there a known solution.

Seems annoying and game-breaking enough to warrant a fix.
Which modules are you using?
 
I use OSX and steam. Copied all the modules in order save VIET immersion because that doesn't work with SWMH. Why isn't the mod being read? Do I need to download python?
Have you made sure to put it in your mod folder along with its .mod file?
 
Yes I did. And I deleted the user dir line in the .mod.
Is it showing up in the launcher? If not it is in the wrong folder.
If it is showing in the launcher it should be loading.
What does the internals of the mod's folder look like? There should be a number of folders in there, common, localisation, etc. as well as a few readme files.
 
What's the release schedule for HIP? Since I like new goodies, I'm thinking of using the PB betas as part of my HIP, but I'm not going to worry about it if new versions are going to be released rather frequently.
At most once a week unless there's any sort of critical issue.
 
I've now nearly completely filled out the mod compatibility table.
If anyone tries out a combination and finds it doesn't work, please post about it so that the table can be corrected.
If anyone spots any errors on the table, please tell us about them.
If you want a mod added to the table, simply post a link to it and I'll look into compatibility.
Mod compatibility table
If the mod is compatible with every module you use, it should work.
If the mod is included in one of the modules you use, do not enable it.
If the mod is incompatible with one or more of the modules you use, it likely won't work.
Note that some of these mods will not work with one another, even if they both work with the HIP modules you use.
A mod marked with "NO" for CKII 2.0.4 will not work with CKII 2.0.4, and thus not with any combination of HIP modules, despite having "Yes" ticked for one or more modules.

Correction for Jure Uxuris: It is in fact compatible with PB when the comp patch is used.

I don't mean to be overly persistent but has anyone seen anything out of the ordinary in my screenshots?
Well, I'm not seeing any of the readmes, which might indicate that some things haven't properly been copied over.
Beyond that though it looks quite normal, yeah.
 
Is there any negative effect to commenting out the user_dir in the .mod file? It seems that having that line causes the games to not get saved with 'Autosave to Cloud' enabled. In other words, you think you are saving to the cloud and you are not getting any saves at all. I'm thinking of commenting the line out but I don't want it to screw up the game.
One drawback is that it makes HIP's saves get mixed with vanilla saves despite not being compatible for most module combination.
The other one is that if you switch between vanilla and HIP you may get longer launch times due to cache issues.
 
Well, now, I've been away from CK2 for quite a long time, rage quitting in frustration over the lack of modding flexibility in the HRE duchies and title mechanics.

But I am so glad to see this HIP! This is quite the project I had longed to see, combining PB and SWMH with a whole slew of modules now! Meneth, I am so impressed with all that you, Aasmul, Arko, and the rest of the modders have accomplished. That is some dedication.

But can anyone tell me, has a better solution to the HRE duchies' titles been found, or are they still king-level and such? Do Italian provinces in Tuscany suddenly become German still? I have an itching to get back into CK2, but the ridiculousness, in the HRE especially, has me dreading even trying.

The duchies are much the same as always.
The Germanization of Italy is significantly hampered in PB these days. The HRE gets a unique law representing their decentralized nature, which also has the secondary effect of slowing down culture spread within the (defacto) empire significantly.
Any way to get this to be compatible with older saves? I was using PB SWMH, ARKO and Additional Objectives.
Not sure there's much one can do about that, sorry.
 
Sorry to be annoying with the many questions,but when can we expect Viet Immersion and SWMH to be compatible?
I am playing a punjabi buddhist game in VIET Immersion and I want to play it with the SWMH map :)
We can't really put an ETA on it until Cybr recovers, which we have no real way to know how long will actually take.
 
Ok I'm going to try downloading again and using python to set up the mod folder. How do I "run this file directly" as stated in the OP? Thanks again Meneth! It seems as if you've created a really great project here!
If you've got Python (2.7 or later, though I'm not 100% sure the latest versions will work as raw_input was removed at some point) installed, simply double-clicking the file should work fine.
 
Hey! I've a friend who just bought CK2 (I may have convinced him into doing so:happy:) and I was wondering if any of the DLCs are required to run HIP?
VIET Immersion depends on the portrait DLC.
The other modules don't require any DLC whatsoever.
 
How so... I,don't all of them... will that cause problems?
It'll cause black portraits.
There's a fix in the VIET thread somewhere.

Next version will include the portrait fix in the installer; it'll ask if you've got all the portrait DLC, and install the fix if you answer no.
 
Added Monasteries and Mendicants to the mod compatibility table with two versions:
The HIP version requires PB and SWMH, and does not work with VIET Immersion.
The vanilla version does not work with PB, but should work with all other modules.
