A shop right around the corner has them on sale right now. Shall I send you some pairs? They even sell blessed Bolters with blessed ammo.
Please do [send them]! I can never get a pair to fit quite perfect. You can skip the blessed ammo, though; I'm deft with a tranq syringe.

Hmm, weird. If it doesn't load with the mod turned off, chances are it isn't the mod. If you go back to 2.11, (or whatever, I don't know the exact version) does it still crash on the load?

This may actually just be a problem with the ck 2 itself, because i just tried running it with the mod off and it still stuck at maplogic.
In that case you should try verifying the integrity of CKII via Steam:

So I downloaded the mod and it's really awesome, great work you guys :D
But I don't like these random flags of the pagans. Is there a way to restore the normal flags?

Yep:
You can change that by going into 00_religions.txt and changing the line "has_coa_on_barony_only = no" to "has_coa_on_barony_only = yes" under the pagan_group header.

ive done it 2 or 3 times including deleting all local content and re downloading the game
Go into your CKII user folder (the one just above where your mod folder is) and manually delete settings.txt.

Retry.

Just wondering if there's a recommended start date or if the game works fine at all start dates.
If you're using SWMH, the earlier start dates work the best (867 and 1066 are the best, and it gradually gets worse as you go later).
If you're using PB, it is balanced based on the 1066 start after William conquers England. The other starts work just fine and are better than vanilla, but the 1066 start is the best (with 867 or 1081 in 2nd place).

I'd like to happily announce that AnaxXiphos has joined the HIP team. We know his insight and skills will make HIP an even more enjoyable experience than it is!

Also, random unrelated pic to get your attention and give this announcement more pizazz:

Greek islands are so pretty.

I would also like to welcome AnaxX to the team. He's already made significant contributions to PB and VIET with his fantastic art work and occasional bug fixes, and we're looking forward to seeing what he comes up with in the future.

AnaxXiphos,

Welcome and congratulations. In addition to your many talents, I expect you to provide the team with a very welcome, fresh, different, and highly relevant but missing perspective in our many internal discussions, and I especially look forward to that consequence of your joining the team.

We are lucky to have you, comrade.

Now, go register on the private team forums already! :D

Don't underestimate the 1187 / Third Crusade start (with SWMH as well). A lot of the game's history changes (i.e., new baronies built, changes in culture and religion) in the years just prior to it, and it's a solid start for a later game experience (unlike, say, 1204 - Latin Empire).

Meneth or whomever can help,

I just updated to 2.1.1 and installed the latest HIP to go along with it. Everything seems normal until I go into the game and select a holding. At that point the game crashes with no warning.

Anything else I do or click on doesn't create problems. It is only when I click on the picture of a holding to bring up the building options. The only other mod I am using is Arumba's key binding mod.

If you are talking about the Keyboard Shortcut and Interface Adjust mod make sure you are using the right version. There's one for RoI and for no-RoI. If yuo are running RoI and using the non-RoI mod you will experience the symptom you've described. The RoI version is actually a hyperlink in the name of the mod.
