HOI 2 Editor-Question

I used the HOI 2 editor to change some reasource values in a number of provinces.
I can change oil values in just about any provence but if I try to change energy or rare an error message comes up during the start up of the game during load screen. (Unspecified error-language something or other?).
I uninstalled and then reinstalled 8 times trying to narrow the problem down any ideas would be greatly appericated.
I looked all over heck and back trying to find a answer.

When I change the Oil Value in Mid east and Baku there is no problem with the game.

To save others the same grief - in case they do not know about the serious issues with the HOI2 editor - see the thread about it sticky'd at the top of this forum. This editor may be useful for info only purposes, but many who use it to edit the game wind up with corrupt games.

Do NOT use the HOI2 editor to edit anything, without knowing the risks involved. Back up your files/install before using any editor.
Most editing can be done safely with notepad.exe

Well, you can try to get Paradox to address it as customer support, I guess. But the thing's been broke for over 4 years. Much more likely that a modder will put out a working HOI2 editor (see the scenarios and mods subforum) before you get satisfaction elsewhere.
