HoI DD Crashing after battle

I didn't see this anywhere else...

I will run a game just fine up until the first battle, usually 1940 or so, and then after that battle ends the game will crash to desktop. I could not find anything like this in the 1.1 patch (which I installed, but for some odd reason caused problems of its own). This is seriously crimping my enjoyment of the game, help!

So you are saying this problem was fixed in the 1.1 patch, but the 1.1 patch caused other problems for you. The thing to do is report the problems with the 1.1 patch since problems already solved in the 1.1 patch will not be revisted.
