About 8 months ago I had trouble playing HoI2
D. After two weeks (months?) ingame time, the game would slow down to the point that every 24hrs game time it would stop for two minutes then resume. I've asked for help on this board but I didn't get any satisfactory answers. In fact I've realized that I just wasted my money in buying the Anthology. So this past week, I uninstalled the crap assed game and reinstalled the original HoI2. Guess what? It is running like a dream. No slow downs whatsoever.
So I am left wondering, did the expansion packs break the game? Because right now, my Anthology CDs are only good for target practise for my air rifle.
So I ask again, why the hell would DD slow down my computer to the point of almost stalling it when HoI2 ran without a hiccup?
