Thanks.

the MSI wind has arrived. I've installed HOI2, but an error appears while I'm trying to run the game:

-- Fatal error: Could not initializa video!
---
Do you still want to continue?

And then, every choise I select, it goes back to win with an error.

could it be the game resolution? the wind has the 1200x600

done. but nothing..

I have also installed Pegasus Hexa wizard and tried to run the game windowed... --> nothing changed.

(ah, installed patch 1.3) have no idea about what the problem is.

--> probably is the week grafik on the pc,
--> or it's trying to play the intro videos and the problem is only there. is it possible to skip the initial videos execution?

Yes, the opening movie is in the avi folder, that is why you renamed it to skip playing it.

Some systems with a display res smaller than the game requires may still run it but the real screen will act as a window to the larger game screen. This could depend on your video driver. ISTR seeing someone recently posting that they were running HoI2 or EU3 on an Eee PC or the Acer equivalent that also had a 1024x600 screen.

GREAT !!!!!

it's working.. :) :)

and without any trouble.
I paste this just in case:
------------------------------------------------
I managed to get it working without any modifications to the drivers. I just unchecked "hide resolutions that my monitor cant display" in the display page of the control panel. It plays well, with the exception of the extra scrolling that needs to be done because the screen is too small for 1024×768, but thats most definately a price worth paying for the ability to play HoI2( and Victoria) on a machine thats the same size as 3 NDS's put together.
------------------------------------------------

Have to try EU3 though. If you say it'll run too, it's simply wonderful.

Thanks a LOT.
