What is a neutral contry?
Is it a country that is not in any faction?
I read that as unaligned.
The first 4 things in this change log seem to have been written by someone else. No capital letters or punctuation and odd phrasing.

so if you go down that branch in the army focus and you dismantle the line for some reasondismantling the Maginot Line now removes the "Protected by the Maginot Line" national spirit. The Extending the Maginot Line Focus now requires this spirit.

Anybody know the threshold for this? They said low industry countries no longer add operatives
SO this is a thing that happened tonight playing on historical mode. I can only assume Vichy France refused Japans ultimatum. In previous iterations of HoI4 it was Free France who retained control of French Indochina so the odd ultimatum refusal wasn't that big of a deal. Also I'm finding that parts of Vichy France will randomly flip back to Free France. Syria for example. Not sure if this is intended or not.

That part is intended, it's part of Free France's focus tree where they have the intervention focuses and the decisions, you can promise them independence, coup them or instigate a border conflict to get the land backAlso I'm finding that parts of Vichy France will randomly flip back to Free France. These changes look like a good fix for collaboration governments. If "Britain and France abandon Czechoslovakia or Yugoslavia" will it remove the guarantees from both countries, or just from the one that was abandoned? I hope from both, this would make the Balkans more enjoyable.##################################
# Balance

- neutral government can do collaborations now
- If Britain or France decide to abandon Czechoslovakia or Yugoslavia in their respective event chains, any guarantees they have made to those countries are revoked

# AI

- neutral ai countries won't create collaborations unless it is past 1944 and they are at peace
- ai will not create single state collaborations
And also somebody by the name of Dan Lind. Now that's a made up name if ever I heard one. There are new historical military figures being quoted too.
LOL"Captain Blackadder, Hero of Mboto Gorge"
"Pocahontas"
...
I hope from both, this would make the Balkans more enjoyable.
Because the only thing the guarantee on Yugoslavia does is making forming Byzantine or Austria-Hungary and playing as an expansionist Italy pretty much impossible if you don't want to start WW2 early (and some other things as well). It offers nothing for historical games. Why would they?

Meant as something separate. It blocks off fun in non-historical games while providing no benefits for historical games.Historical games with Byzantium and Habsburg Empire?![]()
