Good Day Victorians!

We have a small hotfix today addressing key issues, including the one mentioned in known issues regarding hiring.

Check out the full patchnotes below. Checksum is `9124`.

As always please report any bugs on our bug reporting forums! We have also updated the Known Issues post for 1.12 with any fixed issues!

The following changes have been made to the game compared to 1.12.1:

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a bug where buildings that do not use slaves would always be hiring regardless of whether they were losing money
  • Fixed a bug where having a high level of welfare would cause building owners to wage dump to extreme levels and let the government pick up the entire tab. Now they only wage dump to a moderate level and let the government pick up a smaller tab.
  • Fixed a bug when power bloc trade capacity modifiers weren't applied
  • The Cultural Commonwealth power bloc and the associated Shared Canon principle now only requires ownership of Iberian Twilight

I always thought that this was a neat long time effect of capitalism, where the owners through the up and down of their revenues, would refuse to decrease their dividends, and instead slowly reduced the wages (where they could be taken by welfare) until the society is entirely plagued by these practices. It was one of the sources for mid-end game économical crisis, and i hope we wil still see these behaviours.

Restore Rosa Luxemburg's agitation in favor of Polish uprisings. As a Pole, she could strive to create a communist Poland. In her views, she was a patriot and considered Polish culture to be highly developed. She was fascinated by the works of Adam Mickiewicz. Even though she came from an assimilated Jewish family, she considered herself Polish. Poland under the rule of Rosa Luxemburg could be:
  • Socialist Democratic Republic of Poland
  • Party - Social-Patriotyczny Ruch Proletariatu Polskiego
  • Possibility of creating an ideological bloc "The Internationale"
  • Achievement "Christ of Nations" for creating the ideological bloc "Tej Internationale" playing Poland under the leadership of Rosa Luxemburg. At the same time, Germany and Austria do not exist and Russia is a subject of Poland.

This still happens, but it's no longer done to an absurd degree where buildings literally remove all wages because welfare will pick up the tab. After all, if your job is paying you 1 cent and welfare is paying you $9.99, why would you not just quit?

By the way, I think you can add achievements for countries that don't have them but received content as part of DLCs and free updates.

Can you adjust Italian national movement's activism in order to fix italian unification?
Currently there are several problems which make it very difficult for AI to do it.

With the Iberian Twilight DLC, you guys added new Uniforms for Generals, Admirals, and Officers Service member pops.

But why is it that ONLY Spain and their subjects get these new Uniforms and not the rest of Hispanophone Latin America, even though in history they wore these uniforms?
For example, infamous Generals like Santa Anna still wear Generic European Officer Clothing even though he literally wore the SAME CLOTHING THAT you guys just added to the game.

Santa Anna in game, even though his historical clothes in literally in game.

Juan Alverez and Miguel Barragan in game wearing generic European Officer Clothing when their Historical Hispanic Clothing literally exist in the game.

And I only use Mexico as an is an example because they better documented, but Latin American Countries should not have to be subjects of Spain (because any subject around the world will in general take on the clothing of their overlords) to have these Unique Hispanic Uniforms, because in real life, Spanish American militaries inherited/wore Spanish Uniforms when they were independent.

Please, for Historical accuracy, have the new Spanish Uniforms for Generals, Admirals, Officer and Service Member pops be a default for Latin American Countries with a primary culture that is Latin American Settler heritage and Hispanophone.

xDDDDD

The name comes from the fact that I live near the former border between Masovia and the Teutonic Order... well, it's nice in Masuria.

Besides, a "Winged Hussar 2000" would be too predictable xDDD

Surely that can't be a bug? That's literally the swedish hamburger-chain 'Bastard Burgers' business model!
It's already known as "the Walmart practice" anyway.

Having Mayagüez as the third town name in PR instead of Caguas is a step in the right direction.

Having PR called Porto Rico instead of Puerto Rico outside its short historical period is odd.
