Hey, can you guys check if the French Commune takeover event is working as intended? You march on Versailles and nothing really happen, no government change, it Just doesn't seem to change anything at all.

Any plans to do more open betas in future? Or even closed betas?
As we always say:
We'll do it when it makes sense, not for the sake of it. It takes a considerable amount of effort to make proper use of it, e.g. analyzing feedback and bug reports and then actually addressing them before release etc.

I am like 99% sure, that there is already a closed beta of something between 10 and 100 people in it. Probably on the fewer people side of that range.
I assume they get lots of feedback already there.

Invasions are a disaster. They create a phantom front where you have to specifically redeploy your garrisoned troops. It’s useless to be stationed at the regional headquarters. The worst part is that any troops you have defending your coasts will head to the attack front when the hostile invasion fails. They just leave, and you can’t do anything about it, allowing the next stinking invasion from Great Britain to land without ships or troops.

Something just as ridiculous happens with “invasions” due to having military access. Luckily, in this case, the AI doesn’t spam them. But basically, a naval invasion gets created on land, which is quite confusing and follows the rules of a normal battlefront. In other words, they prepare to invade, but since you’re defending with superior forces, they just stay on the defensive. And since you can’t attack from where they’re “invading,” it stays like that indefinitely—or until that already-mobilized unit ends up like a magnet on the next failed invasion front. Then, if there’s no opposition, they walk right in. Fix the game.

AI now doesn't have nearly enough universities (after the output was nerfed), resulting in low tech & a huge military/economic disadvantage vis-a-vis the player. And in general I would definitely love to see more attentions paid to technology.

Hi! I'm not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere, but it seems to me that the AI undervalues provinces in diplomatic deals. A couple of days ago, playing as Persia in the "Great Game" scenario, I managed to buy all of Central Asia from Russia. And just yesterday, playing as Orange, I bought the Cape Colony and the Portuguese colonies. Also, during my game as Persia, when Britain declared war on me, I sold the provinces they were fighting for through a peace deal — and then, after the war ended, I bought them back for even less than I sold. Perhaps this should be adjusted somehow
