The TV coat of arms isn't nice either. It looks like the banner of an American football team. 100% designed for merchandise, not for looking like something that you would be able to make with medieval technology.
It also violates a bunch of heraldic principles In the choice of colors. Red man on white X on black field - that doesn't work for me. this whole idea of white x on black looks way too much like somethimg that you would print, not something that you would sew from naturally dyed cloth. the X enclosed by black is a very complex pattern, you could not sew it from one piece, you would have to make it from several pieces and that means as a flag it would come apart at the many seams way too fast.
Book coats of arms is cheesy but better in my eyes. At least I can imagine someone dyeing a linen cloth pink and sewing red appliances on it, for a durable flag for outdoor use.
