Hello all. I am trying to RP a game of a Muslim sheikh in Sinai who discovers the Jewish holy site there and secretly converts. I got my guy's wife to convert as well, but then she got a little too enthusiastic and started converting others. This eventually snowballed to about 1/3 of the Abbasids becoming secretly Jewish, which just feels a bit silly and is not at all immersive.

I want to know how I can mod this. I can see a couple of possible solutions:
1. Make the decision to try to secretly convert someone player only (not ideal, because it's not immersive in a different way).
2. Make the AI much less likely to accept secret conversion without some combination of traits/stats.
3. Make some sort of lengthy cooldown period between attempts to convert someone. I think this cooldown could apply to either the potential convert (i.e. you can't try to convert the same person twice in rapid succession) or for the converter (i.e. you can't try to convert a person after recently trying to convert a person).

I think some combination of 2 and 3 is probably best. The problem is, I don't know which files to mod in which way to make any of these happen. Can anyone tell me where to begin?

Update: I think I found the file I need to modify: mnm_secret_religious_societies_decisions. I just don't understand the language well enough to know what to change.

Maybe you should make people less accept the invitation if the religion is question has low moral authority?
