How do I destroy infantry units?

I have some infantry units that I don't want, I'd rather like them to be workers and farmers. How do I destroy/convert them to farmers/laboreres?

I'm NOT talking about converting POP-types into another POP, but infantry units displayed on the map.

Click on the unit stack, then the actual infantry picture, and then click disband at the bottom.

No problem. It's actually quite a frequent question as the disband button is not as obvious to see as you would've hoped.
