I'm kind of a newbie in this game, and totally in the dark as far as modding goes, but it seems that you can do some interesting scenarios with this stuff. My favorite bookseries, A Song of Ice and Fire came to mind, and doing it in this game could be, well, epic. But fantasy scenarios are kind of lame be done in an Earth Map. So, I'm asking if it's possible to do custom maps.
There is a map editing tutorial where someone makes the country of Monaco in HOI2. I can't find it now, but I'm wondering if the same sort of possibilities could be done in a larger scale. Is it possible to turn land parts of the map into sea? Cut parts away and reshape the ones left into new provinces? Wouldn't this allow someone with a lot of time in their hands to use Photoshop or something and turn Europe into Westeros?
Am I crazy or could it be possible?
