I was wondering how long will it take before Somerset and Dorset change from Anglo-Saxon into Cornish.. I can wait but it is a bit of a bother..

I remember once seeing almost all of southern England Norman culture, which was obviously very interesting, as the assimilation never occurred in that game as a result.

Nice, I have made the Kingdom of Dumnonii (I want to call it Dumnonia, but it doesn't want to change) basicly its a kingdom you can play as when you have uified cornwall, devon and exeter.. I own the latter and two bits of Britanny (Leon and Cornualle).. I was wondering if any of you knew if it would be easier putting a Cornish vassel to make the culture cornish or just leave it as my cornish kings desmse..
Then you most likely are using a mod, since there are no provinces with Norman culture in the vanilla game and culture can only spread from one province to another.

Looting the provinces in question will help significantly. Also it's much faster if they are part of your demesne rather than a vassal's.
Presumably it either lowers the culture change effect MTTH directly, or lowers the MTTH for some revolt event (the peasants are revolting because their culture is different from yours or some such) that gives you the option of crush them- xx% chance of culture changing to yours.
I believe there is no such event ... it is for religious conversion by the sword .. and the province should not have a revolt for that one to fire.
My guess is that having a looted and thus poor province, will make them vant to be like the more prosperous province of the "correct" culture.
Why would looting them help?

condition = { type = to
condition = { type = has_province_effect value = { looted = yes } }

But you can mode trade routes between Brittany and Cornwall, which technically should be present. There have long been trade routes between Wales, Cornwall, and Brittany. What I do for my games is simply create those trade routes that I know existed but are absent from CK, and the effects are more correct.
I would link:
Leon to Cornwall
Leon to Dyfed
Cornwall to Dyfed
Dyfed to Waterford (Leinster) represented by Laigan I think.
Gwynedd to Dublin
