Hey guys, i'm fairly new to this game (about 160 hours). I'm playing as austria and now the year is 1590 and I managed to pass 4 reformed. Is it normal? Because if I continue with this speed I can only form the HRE at about 1750 or something.

For a new player this is normal. I think I did my first HRE around 1710 or something. If you want to make it quicker you can restart and try Budgetmonks Strat. Its really good. Thats how I did my first World Conquest.
As is mentioned, this is quite normal. I did it in 1771, it was one of the first things I seriously went after when I had the idea I understood the game. What I recall of that run is that you are also dependent on the other members of the HRE not being too aggressive to each other. And do not switch religion after the war of religions. Somehow I thought it would be wise to go for protestant, not knowing this would result in losing the emperor's crown.
Guys I did it! I did it in 1717. Maybe even sooner but I like to see all of my enemies swarmed by my vassals lol. Thanks for all of the advises
I did a fairly relaxed run a few days ago and managed to have vassall swarm at 1550-1560 (dont know when but at that time^^) You need to expand to Poland Lithuania afte you get your pus I had free Pu over Hungary and Burgund fired without me causing it so also a little luck there I then took Venice when he I was Pope I helped Danzig when he was disloyal getting free he joined and Livonian Order (Danzig or Knights Join when they feel threatent by poland danes or moscovy. Also kill your Kings by sieging everything (well make shure youre still next emperor ^^. And stepp down if possible 10 authority is quiet a lot. Integrate Hungary Asap also diplo idea is a must and get offensive for bigger army. Diplo is needed for reformation basicially tap out if reformation spwans in big nation ( I had the first two in Hungary and one in vienna (nice try game) Normal one was Achen then I no cbd a close ally (Reichsstadt is like minus 7 as emporor with no cb cannot take that). Killed the center in that time you play with religious map out too see spwaned in center by 1500 you have around 3-4 depends on how agressive you are and how many emperors die. After the 6 you have the peace and the 7th is basicially the win. You should also increase opinion of your neighbours automaticially makes them accept new reforms. DOnt bother with Italy too much (aie is not good). Also if you release a nation or a vasall make shure he is in the empire if he is outside it depends if he joins.
Also make shure you have 1 Strong ally and ally most electorates but dont go too overbored you also need some Pu slots (Austria has better chance bot Palatinate for free). Dont bother too much with Ottoman or France the east is the best place for expanison if you are really try hard you can make a line to Russia and even kill him no one cares but maybe Lithuania but the rest is like Orthodox nah not my problem. I just finished a run and revoked the privlegia in 1603 and ended up with my first WC. I think my first HRE run was later on but 1603 is definitely the fastest I've revoked to date.
