How to Annex and Vassalize?

How do you Annex and Vassalize? I'm playing Austria and besieged Wurtemburg, rather than say I own it it says that I've conquered it or something. Why wouldn't it just add it to my empire? If I move my troops out of it will it revert to an independent state? And how do you bribe other nations? The manual, while good, sorely needs and index so you don't have to read through the whole damn thing. I don't have time for that! I have to conquer my neighbors! ;)

You can annex an entire country if you controll all of it's provences, then offer peace and Annexation will be an option.

I do have a few questions of my own however...

When you annex a country militarily, what affect does this have on relations? In the game I'm playing, France annexed a few countries and there didn't seem to be any reprocussions. However when I tried, I got three different alliances declaring war on me...?

Also... What is considered when you offer a country vassalization or annexation through the diplomatic screen? It it ONLY your relations? (ie, if you meet all the criteria: marrage, alliance, 190+ relation, it is just a matter of a percentage chance they will agree?) or are there other factors? If there aren't, does anyone know what the chance is? It seems to be very low.

The chance of vassalization and annexation also depends on your leader´s diplomacy-skill.
