How to play DV?

I bought CK and DV from GamersGate. Every time I load up CK, though, it says "CK 1.05" in the upper right. DV was in a separate folder, so I moved it into the CK folder. Still 1.05. So how do I get CK to load DV?
What exactly are the differences anyway?

Wow, it's been so long since I installed the game, I've forgotten exactly how it was done. But, I think there are two separate installing .exe files. You install CK first (and as you noticed, it's already patched to 1.05). Then go to the DV installer and double-click it and install it IN the CK folder and let it overwrite everything (just copy/pasting over won't work). You should also get/install the latest Beta patch afterwards for DV, the 2.1 version, as it fixes loads of bugs in the vanilla game.
