How to turn off Music always?

The setting for turning off the music does not seem to be remembered all the time. Other times the music is playing while the game options show it as off - toggling it on and off seems to stop it.

Is there a setting somewhere that turns off the music at all times. In particular I don't want music in the scenario selection screen and on start up!

Is this possible?

The music always comes on automatically at startup. But if you have turned music to 'off' then there won't be any more music after the the initial music ends.

What I hear is the startup music (always as noted). But then it continues to play music in the scenario selection screen (even though I have turned it off in previous sessions).

I have to start a scenario and then go to the options screen to turn the music off (even though it will already be showing as being 'off').

It is not a huge issue, it would just be convenient if it remembered that I didn't want music!

It will end before too long of its own accord. You're right that it shouldn't start at all, though.

Hi. well i've gott the perfect solution to this problem. U need the cd to start the game, right? well when u have got the game started, u don't need the cd anymore and u can pop it out of ur comp. Now u don't have the problem anymore.
