OK, i have this problem:
I'm around the year 1550 saved my game, and when i try to reload, the game doesnt want to: it goes half the way and then the game shuts itself down, how can this be?

I'll post in this thread as well then...

To delete the .eug.cfg file, go into your /program files/paradox entertainment/Europa Universalis2/scenarios/save files/ directory. There you will find save games (surprise!). Each save game has a text file ending in .eug and a configuration file ending in .eug.cfg. Delete the second file (or just rename it for safety) and then reload the game and save file. When you go back in, the game automatically creates a new configuration file, so you will need to reset your game difficulty and agression etc. If the problem is with the game configuration, this should sort it out.

You be able to do all the deleting or renaming in windows explorer.

i found it (a miracle ) , and deleted the file, but the same problem reoccurs.

It looks as though the game file itself may be at fault then. Did you edit it in any way (I'm guessing that you didn't) or are you using any of the EU2 scenarios or mods from the scenario forum? What version (SF, Vision, UBI) of the game are you running? What patch? If you try loading the autosave game instead (assuming you have autosave turned on) does that work? Is this the first time you've had trouble loading a save game?

Also, please give me detailed system specs in case there's something there that's at fault.
