HUGE upload when hosting Multiplayer

So my friend and me wanted to play this mod in multiplayer but we couldn't play the game on a speed setting faster than 1 as he was already having an upload of 300 kb/s on the slowest gamespeed. Vanilla CK2 doesn't even have 100kb/s upload on speed 4.

Is there something that we need to disable/enable/download/install so that this mod is playable in MP faster than the speed of 1?

Btw. do you play via VPN or just regular via internet?

I was playing GoT last night with two friends via wireless LAN. I kept getting slowed to one notch. How did you check your upload speed?

I have the G510 keyboard which has a display and use the SirReal panel app which also shows the network usage of my PC.

Other than that you could use any second monitor and just check the task manager (network tab). Or Alt+Tab out while in game and check the task manager. I don't think Alt-Tabbing is making any issues.
